Scott H. Bercu, CPA

Scott Bercu graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Business Arts degree (BBA) from Hofstra University in 1979, and received his accounting certification in 1990. He began in the industry working for a medium sized, “white shoe”, quality (and high priced) public accounting firm (85 or so staff and 4 partners) based in Manhattan where he made Partner. The firm specialized in management and tax services for very high-end, high net worth individuals, most of who were well known personalities.

In August of 1993, Mr. Bercu left this firm to start his own practice. He wanted a more boutique type practice, and the freedom and flexibility to be creative without the need to bill for every hour he works. His philosophy worked, and today he continues to enjoy the personal relationships he has with all his clients, many who have been with him for over 20 years.
